Current Real Estate Report
According to the Wasatch Front Regional Multiple Listing Service, 22 homes were sold during the month of March 2008 in the 84116 Zip Code (comprising an area that includes all of Rose Park to the Davis County line, South to an area not far from North Temple). This number is nearly double the results for the month of February.
The price range of sold homes during March in the Rose Park area was from $93,000 for a condo to $268,000 for a 5-bedroom, 2-bath home near the Day-Riverside library.
The best mortgage rates ranged from about 5.25% to 6.0%, trending downwards and slightly lower, overall, than the previous month.
Housing inventory in the 84116 Zip Code include 97 properties currently for sale, 29 of those under contract with buyers as of 4/15/2008.
Overall, prices have stabilized, foreclosures are much fewer, and demand for home-buying is back up significantly over the previous few months.
