Newman News–November 12th
Ready, Set, WALK!
Newman Elementary School has joined the Gold Medal Schools Program sponsored by the Utah Department of Health. Gold Medal Schools makes it possible for elementary schools to provide physical activity and healthy nutrition choices. The program improves students’ academic success through policies and environmental changes that support good nutrition, physical activity and staying tobacco-free. A highlight of the program is walking the Gold Medal Mile track daily at recess or as a class. The school will track all miles walked by students and staff with incentives available as Newman reaches the goals of the program. Principal Ruesch challenges everyone to GET READY, GET SET, WALK

Box Tops for Education
Clip Box Tops and help our school earn cash! The list of participating products include many General Mills products such as Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Ziploc and Kleenex to name a few. Look for the Box Tops coupon on your groceries, clip them and send them to our school. Our PTA recently purchased PE equipment with some of our Campbell’s reward points. Every Box Tops coupon and Campbell’s label we receive helps our school!
