You are wanted. Mobile Watch wants and needs you to help watch out for crime. You are asked for 3 hours per month but the great good that you will do will be immeasurable in crime prevention. Please help. Call Tammie at 532-1024. We also would like you to organize a Neighborhood Watch Group on your street. It is an application of the Golden Rule to your street. To begin, call Sgt. Ross, SLCPD.

We have received a number of questions about illegal parking as well as changing the parking strip from grass to rocks . We have also been asked about some zoning issues. Carol Gent and Linda Goddard are our our enforcement officers and will be present at this meeting to respond.

The Urban Forester, Bill Rutherford, has announced a new program concerning trees on your lot. They are now planting smaller trees in parking strips. One year later you can request a larger tree be planted six feet in from the sidewalk. In either case, you have to sign an agreement stating that the tree belongs to the city, but you will care for it.

The crime report for September showed 1 aggravated assault, 2 car strips, 11 auto thefts, 7 burglaries, 9 car prowls, 4 gang related, 1 arson, and 2 sexual assaults. We have a new contact officer. His name is Detective David Wierman, telephone number is 799-3312.

We have received a request for zoning change improving the lots to the north of the Common Cents gas station on 700 North and Redwood Road. The developer wants to place a Mexican grocery store on that site. It will be discussed at this meeting. This was proposed some time ago and it was rejected on the grounds that we already have enough. Please be present.
