National Night Out Against Crime

Salt Lake City Police Department will be holding a National Night Out Against Crime on August 7. The event will take place in two locations: the Pioneer Precinct at 1040 West 700 South and the Liberty Park Northeast Pavilion at 700 East 900 South. A parade beginning at 6 pm at 1179 Navajo Street (about 1300 West) will end at the Pioneer Precinct. There will be food, drink, and entertainment at both locations from 5-9pm.The national program aims to heighten crime awareness, encourage drug prevention and neighborhood spirit, and build partnerships between law enforcement officials and communities.

Zion’s Market

On Saturday, August 11th from 9-11 am, Rose Park North Stake will hold its Zion’s Market. The Rose Park North Stake is located at 1155 North 1200 West. In ancient times, the market place was the central point of any town or city. It was the place people came together to meet, talk, help each oter and exchange material goods. Share your abundance by donating good useable items you do not need. On Saturday, come receive from the abundance of others by taking what you would like at no charge.
Donations will be accepted at the Stake Center cultural hall Tuesday, August 7th through Thursday, August 9th from 6-9pm. and Friday, August 10th from 9am-6pm
