July 24th Activities
July 21, 2007 by Baker.
The Native American Celebration in the Park takes place at Liberty Park on Tuesday. The highlight of the all-day free event is an intertribal powwow, when dancers from many Native American nations come together to proudly display their talents, costumes, customs, and culture. The event also includes cultural displays, food booths, arts and crafts, a Children’s Corner, and entertainment. Most festivities begin when the Days of ‘47 Parade pulls in to the park at 12n, but food and craft booths start operating at 7am. Everything wraps up just as the fireworks begin in the park at dusk.
