Note about Preschool Registration
If you are interested in registering your child for the Pre-K program at Newman, official registration is Tuesday, June 5th from 8am-3pm. The initial registration form is available in the front office or the Pre-K classroom. Once this form is returned , the Pre-K teachers will contact you to arrange a time for registration on the 5th, and will discuss any paperwork necessary for registration. Children must be 4 by September 1st. This is a tuition based program determined by income.
Last Gold Slip Store of the Year Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
remember that the only thing students can spend in the gold slip store is the white copy of the slip. NO YELLOW COPIES ARE SPENDABLE.
Have each student fill out the order form which is in your box, including their name and room number.
EACH STUDENT MAY ORDER A TOTAL OF 3 ITEMS THIS TIME, BUT THEY MAY ONLY ORDER A TOTAL OF 4 CAP ERASERS.
Please staple the needed gold slips for the order to the order form. Please be sure students use only one staple.
Note that we no longer have the following items:
Smiley Water Bottles
Glitter Woolly Rings
When you turn in your orders, please clip them together so I don’t lose any order forms in transit.
Eye Glasses Needed
Parents, if you have any eye glass frames that you are no longer using, please send them to school with your students or bring them into the front office. The Lions Club helps provide eye glasses for children in the school and in turn we give them any frames that come in.
Lost and Found
Parents, if your student(s) have lost any shirts, coats, jackets, hats, gloves or any other item, please check our lost and found by the back door. We have tons of things that have been misplaced or forgotten! Any unclaimed items will be donated to charity.
Thank You
The following third grade students volunteered to help clean up the garden beds at our school. They all generously gave up recess to dig in the dirt with Mrs. Rainey and received a lovely certificate from Mr. Ruesch! Let’s keep up the good work students.

Field Day
Our final reward activity for the year takes place on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. The PTA is supporting us once again by providing activity stations for all students to enjoy. Students should wear casual clothing that can get wet, but absolutely no swimsuits or flip-flops are allowed. There will also be a barbecue and popsicles provided. Classes have been assigned their times during the day to participate, and we look forward to a wonderful celebration of good behavior at school.
