Val Ringwood will be conducting (359-1645). Call him if you have items or concerns.
1. A blue ribbon committee has been studying the development of transportation in Salt Lake City. The study has included TRAX, buses, vehicles, pedestrians, parking and bicycling means of getting around downtown. The study will not be complete for several months, butthe City’s Transportation Director will present a power point presentation at this meeting.
2. The Salt Lake City Mayor’s office announced that Southwest Airlines is going to award 2 free tickets to a senior citizen who wins an essay contest about ideas to improve the city for senior citizens. The deadline is Nov. 17th and entries can be mailed to: Office of the Mayor, City and COunty Building, Room 306, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 or you can get a form by going to www.slcgov.com .
3. The crime report last monthshowed that there were the following crimes in Rose PArk: 9 aggravated assaults, 10 autos stolen, 6 burglaries, 5 car prowls, 2 car strips, 9 gang related, 4 robberies and 1 weapon drive by. Some of these crimes are counted more than once because of their multiple nature.
